Wedding Details

The Meaning of a Nikah

The Nikah is the Islamic marriage ceremony that formally unites us in faith and commitment. It is a sacred contract led by a religious officiant, where vows are exchanged and the Nikkahnama (marriage contract) is signed in the presence of family and friends.

Following the ceremony, we invite you to celebrate with us over a Pakistani feast, a reflection of the Rehman family's culture and hospitality. Expect a delicious spread of fragrant rice dishes, grilled meats, and vegetarian options that reflect the warmth and joy of this special occasion.

Nikah Dress Code

Traditional Nikah attire beautifully showcases the elegance and vibrancy of South Asian culture. Women often choose to wear a Lehenga, Saree, or Shalwar Kameez, whilst men may opt for a Sherwani or Kurta Pajama. Rich colours, intricate embroidery, and flowing fabrics are common, adding to the joy and festivity of the occasion.

However, traditional attire is not required. Guests are warmly encouraged to wear formal dress that feels appropriate for this special celebration.
